The overall objectives of AEPC Programs are to popularize and promote the use of renewable energy technology to raise the living standard of the rural people, to save the environment and to develop the commercially viable alternative energy industries in the country. Also the main objective of AEPC is to provide and suggest the Government of Nepal in formulating the national policy and programme, to coordinate all organizations involved in alternative energy technology, standardize the alternative energy technology equipment, to act as a facilitator in the alternative energy sector and to seek the fund from the international donor agencies for its development.
