Institutional Solar PV System and Solar PV Pumping System - Subsidy Criteria
In order to be eligible for subsidy, an ISPS and PVPS must meet following conditions.

  1. ISPS or PVPS can be AC or DC (or combination) system in a stand-alone mode.
  2. The ISPS and PVPS subsidy will be available for the institutions, which are legally registered public institutions.
  3. Note: This delivery mechanism for activities and projects undertaken under REP/EC-GoN will have its own delivery modality.
  4. The subsidy for ISPS and PVPS will not be available for the areas that are served by micro-hydro or other grid connections.
  5. ISPS and PVPS components must comply with the technical specification mentioned in the Nepal Interim Photovoltaic Quality Assurance (NIPQA) and tested and certified by Renewable Energy Test station (RETS).
  6. An ISPS or PVPS will not include appliances like computers, refrigerators, water storage tank etc.
  7. Only the qualified companies must manufacture, distribute, and install ISPS and PVPS.
  8. The engineers trained and recognized by AEPC for designing solar systems and associated with recognized consulting firm/institutions must carry out feasibility study, design the ISPS and PVPS, and supervise in installation process.
